CREATIVE REALIZATION

Every once in a while it is necessary for the Rhino to give his "Clark Kent" identity to someone. Often dealing with banker or people selling you a new toilet it is customary to exchange cards so that person can get in touch with you. Those outside of the entertainment industry might find it hard to remember why they are doing business with Johnny Rhino.

It seemed like a good time for the Rhino to create a card so he could hand it out to the proctologist and such. After inserting the name in the card template the rhino considered the descriptive term he might use before inserting address phone number etc. Most of the day, when the Rhino is not goofing off, he is creating. Sometimes he does something similar to work which is referred to as skills practice. So the Rhino decided to confer on himself the title of Creative Realizer.

There seems to be a movement afoot to champion the creative folk among us. Richard Florida, in his book "The Rise of the Creative Class" writes about how this group is transforming work, leisure, community, and everyday life. He states that these beasts roam in "a place that enables them to reflect and reinforce their identities as creative people, pursuing the kind of work they choose and having access to a wide range of lifestyle amenities."
Many people and organizations are hesitant to jump head first in the creative waters. They don’t know how to swim there and feel they might drowned. Tom Peters in his writing Thriving on Chaos might encourage the jump. "A supervisor or cheif executive of a big firm not bent on creating dangerously is apt to lose his or her job or go out of business" says Peters. Might be true for one who wants to realize something new as well.
So now you have a swim coach. The Rhino, who has pursued creative reality for some years, would be glad to be of service. He is hanging out his shingle as a creative realizer. What can the Rhino help you realize?
